Ashtami (Tal. Roha, Maharashtra): Hanuman exhibited His strength to cross sea for going to Lanka, kindled strength in the fleet of His monkey-soldiers and then crossed the sea with His devotion for Lord Rama. Similarly, Sanatan Sanstha has been kindling ‘Dharma-tej’ among Hindus for the past 20 years, said Shri. Gurudas Anant Maharaj from Sadanand Ashram Amdoshi, Roha. Hindu janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organized Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha at Arte Hall which was addressed by him.

Maharaj said further, “The role of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ in creating awareness among Hindus towards Dharma is invaluable.  I read this daily newspaper everyday and every Hindu should read it.” Recollecting his meeting with H. H. Dr. Jayant Athavale, he said, “H. H. Dr. Athavale had once come to meet my ‘Guru-mauli’ when he was offered a chair to sit; but he sat on the floor at Guru’s feet.”

Mrs. Nandini Surve of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Prasad Vadake of HJS also addressed the ‘sabha’. On this occasion, HJS felicitated Mr. Milind Pingale, the President of ‘Tvashta Kasar Samaj’, its Vice President, Mr. Ramesh Dandekar, Shri. Kinjavadekar Shastri, Shri. Shelake Guruji, Shri. Prahlad Bhate of RSS, Mr. Makarand Govilkar of ‘Smruti Pratishthan’, Mr. Mahadev Salvi, former municipal councilor etc. Arte Hall of Tvashta Kasar Samaj was made available for the ‘sabha’ without any charges. The ‘sabha’ was attended by about 150 devout Hindus. A follow up meeting will be held on 13th April at 6.30 p.m. at Sri Vitthal Mandir, Maratha Lane, Ashtami.
