Spontaneous demand for Big Dharma Jagruti Sabha in Bangalore

Bangalore (Karnataka) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had planned for a Dharma Jagruti Sabha in Vidyaranyapura the residential area with famous Sri Kalika Durga Parameshwari Temple which attracted devotees from all over Bangalore and neighboring districts located in the centre of the extension. When the local Hindu Yuvakara Sangha were contacted by Mr. Chandra Moger HJS Bangalore Spokesperson, they were extremely positive and wanted the Samiti to arrange a large Dharma Jagruti Sabha on the play ground in the heart of Vidyaranyapura. When they were told about the problems about lack of volunteers by HJS, the Sangha members led by Mr. Ravishankar told that the Sanghas volunteers would participate in full strength and see to it that the Sabha would be an unforgettable experience. Mr. Ravishankar and his group also joined Mr. Chandra to meet the local Devout Hindus for over one week and invited them to the introductory session on the Dharma Jagruti Sabha.

The session started with prayers to Lord Sri Krishna and brief profile of the Samiti and its activities, given by Mr. N. R. Jayant. Mr.Chandra Moger explained in detail the recent events that have hit at the root of Hindu cause at different levels. He explained as to how the State government had listed more than 5000 temples as unauthorised and demolished more than 350 temples in just four months. Further the Government is planning to take over the rich temples. The double edged sword of conversion from love jihad and the Christian is continuously going on unhindered. Temples are desecrated or looted and such cases are never reported in the media. But any smallest event happening to a church or a mosque is even reported in the world media. The threat of terror is growing by the day.

Later a VCD on Dharmashikshan followed by present state Dharma and Samiti’s efforts in uniting Hindus through the medium of Dharma Jagruti Sabhas was shown.

Mr. Lohit, a software engineer told that the Prime Minister who blames the Hindus for the Saffron terrorism has never been found to mention Islamic terrorism.

Later during informal session Mr. Srinivas, Raitha Yuva Morcha commended the activities of the Samiti. He told that we have to gather full speed to catch up with our enemies. He volunteered to give his Jeep with petrol and mike system for 5 days for announcements. He also sponsored the shamiana, sound system, generator system. Further he told that he would arrange to affix Bhagwa Dwaj on the entire 2 km stretch in the area during before the Dharma Jagruti Sabha.

One more vehicle was sponsored by Mr. Narasimha Naidu.  Mr. Murali sponsored 20,000 invitations. Mr. Ashwathappa offered table and chairs at 50 percent discount rate to the market price. While Mr. Nagraj and Mr. Prashant made donations of Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 1,000 respectively. Mr. Balaram President of Shakti Ganapati Temple offered one of his room’s for the stay of volunteers and also sponsored two flex of size 6X4 on behalf of temple. Mr. Ram Rao sponsored two flex while Mr. Indudhar sponsored four flex of the same size.  Five Devout Hindus volunteered to join for seva daily along with the Samiti members. Mr. Narendra Kumar volunteered to bring five of his friends for pasting posters in the night. Hindu Yuvakara Sangha offered to bring 50 volunteers on the last two days. Senior Citizens forum volunteered to collect donations for the Dharma Sabha. It was also decided to have a Procession on the occasion of Ram Navami on the main streets of Vidyaranyapura along with Devout Hindus on the 12th of April 2011.

Highlights:

1. When Mr.Chandra Moger met Mr. Srinivas, devout Hindu and driver in a school van, he was taken to the Principal Mr. Narasimha who in turn asked Chandra that he can call him any time for any service. When Mr. Chandra requested that there is a need for chairs and battery for the programme Mr. Srinivas took him to the respective shops and arranged for the same immediately. He also invited the Samiti members to conduct a lecture for the benefit of the school staff.

2. The Trustee of Sri Kalika Durga Parameshwari Temple Mr. Vasanth Kumar, when approached was very pleased about the activities of the Samiti and offered to arrange the food for the full period till the Sabha.

3. Hotelier Mr. Rajendra, who had initially come in contact with the Samiti during the Malleswaram Dharma Jagruti Sabha in2009 was insisting for a similar Sabha in Vidyaranyapura since last several months with the Samiti members. He expressed satisfaction that a suitable decision had been taken. Though he had undergone a knee  operation and had difficulty in walking he made it a point to participate for the full session.

4. Mr. Nagaraj who was impressed by the Dharma Jagruti Sabha in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar held in December 2010 came from a distance of more than 30 km at short notice. He also told that there was no direction to his thoughts about Hinduttva before he got associated with the Samiti.
