Hindus, offer gratitude at the feet of Lord Srikrushna for this success !

Belgaum (Karnataka): On the compound wall of Government Marathi School No. 8 in Hosur Basvan Lane, pictures of Bharatmata and Hindu Deities of about 7-8 feet height were being painted to prevent people from throwing garbage and urinating. When members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) observed this, they stopped the painters. (Congratulations to devout members of HJS for making attempts to stop likely denigration of Deities. Such devout Hindus are the true strength of Hindu Dharma ! – Editor SP)

Members of HJS explained how it was improper to draw pictures of Deities to prevent people from throwing trash and urinating. Those who were painting the walls asked HJS members, “Are you going to stop people throwing trash and urinating? We have orders to paint pictures.” HJS members told them, “It is the duty of the Government to stop such things. Lavatories and place to collect garbage should be built. If you have orders to draw pictures, show us the order.” They told HJS members to talk to the Principal of the school. The Principal informed them that he was not aware of anything. He had not asked anyone to draw pictures. HJS members asked him that he was the Principal and how he did not know what was going on in the school; but he gave evasive answers and cut off the phone. (The Principal, who tries to shirk from his responsibility, cannot create ideal students ! – Editor SP)

The devout members insisted to erase the pictures. Sub-inspector of Shahapur Police Station reached there. The devout members narrated to him what had happened. He said that it was a trivial matter. If there were no orders, the artists must be drawing pictures on their own and by mistake, pictures of Deities were drawn. On the whole, he too tried to cover up the matter. (In the same case, if the artists had drawn pictures of seats of worship of followers of other religions, would the police take similar stand? Since Hindus are indifferent towards their Dharma, the police also dare to say such things. There is no alternative to Hindu unity to bring a change in this situation ! – Editor SP)

The devout members brought to his notice that the matter was serious and not trivial. They told the police official that if he was not ready to erase the pictures, they would do the job and insisted that the pictures had to be erased. The police official consulted his senior police officer and the elected representative and later, all pictures were erased.

Highlights

1. The passersby were supporting devout members and admonishing the artists

2. Devout members were answering every question aptly.

3. Devout Hindus waited till all the pictures were erased.
