MPs from other parties do not attend !

New Delhi: The Security Department had declined permission for celebrating ‘Shiv-jayanti’ on the grounds of the Parliament House; but disregarding the Security Department’s refusal, Shiv Sena and BJP MPs celebrated Shiv-jayanti. MPs from other parties elected from Maharashtra did not attend the celebration.  (It is shown here that the statement made by MPs of other parties elected from Maharashtra that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj did not belong to only Shiv Sena – BJP alliance, was so meaningless! – Editor SP)

The Chairperson of the Parliament Meerakumar had declined permission for celebrating Shiv-jayanti giving the excuse of security reasons. Today, MPs Mr. Manohar Joshi, Sanjay Raut, Prakash Javadekar etc. gathered near the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and garlanded the statue raising acclamation of ‘Har Har Mahadev’, ‘Jai Bhavani; Jai Shivaji’. Mr. Joshi said, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is an inspiration for all Hindus teaching them to live with self-respect. Nobody can stop us from nurturing such inspiration and from celebrating.”

Permission to celebrate Shiv-jayanti in Parliament premises has been declined !

New Delhi : Shiv-jayanti is falling on 22nd March as per the Hindu calendar. Mr. Manohar Joshi, a Shiv Sena MP sought permission of the Director (Security) K. Vijaykumar, through a letter dated 7th March, for celebrating Shiv-jayanti by offering flowers to the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the premises of the Parliament House. The permission has, however, been declined by giving security reasons. (For many days, the Secret Agencies of India and Pakistan have been warning of a terrorists attack on Wankhede Stadium and other grounds; but the cricket matches have not been cancelled giving the reason that respective Governments would provide tight security. Why then the same rule cannot be applied to offering flowers to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj? Is it because Maharaj established Hindvi Swaraj? Are the secular rulers, who could not even protect the Parliament, fit to rule this country? – Editor SP) Mr. Joshi was sent a reply to his letter on 14th March. Last year also, the permission was not granted for celebrating ‘Shiv-jayanti’.
