Mumbai: Valentine was a rogue from Greece who was beheaded because he was clandestinely arranging marriages of the soldiers when his country was at war. That country still observes this day as ‘Black day’; therefore, we should also permanently banish ‘Valentine’s Day’ and should celebrate auspicious days as prescribed by our culture like Gudhi Padva, Ram-navami etc. The above appeal was made by Mr. Durgesh Parulkar, the renowned writer and orator during Dharmajagruti Sabha. In the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in Janata School’s Hall, he guided the audience of about 250 devout Hindus.

Mrs. Manali Naik of Sanatan Sanstha and Dr. Uday Dhuri of HJS also addressed the ‘sabha’. Mr. Harish Worlikar, the Dy. Chief of Shiv Sena for Worli Constituency, the other Dy. chief Mr. Suryakant Koli, Dy. Chief of its Branch Mr. Vijay Nekal, Mrs. Sheetal Aroskar, sub-zonal organizer of MNS and Mr. Nagesh Madavi of Hindu Rashtrasena were the other dignitaries attending the ‘sabha’.
