Raichur (Karnataka): A Hindu Dharmajaagruti sabha was held here on Sunday 13 Feb 2011, at Vaalakat grounds. The Sabha began on time at 5 PM with the blowing of the conch and recitation of Vedic Mantras. The meet was blessed with the august presence of Sanatan’ saint His Holiness Rajendra Shinde who inaugurated the meet by lighting the lamp. The Sabha was attended by 1200 devout Hindus.

Expressing regret at the sorry state of affairs in the country today he said, “Thousands of cows are being killed for their flesh today and cow-meat is being exported from this country where the cow is worshipped. On the other hand corrupt politicians and people in authority are looting the country. The only remedy to cure the country of various maladies ailing it is to do away with unrighteous Politicians!!” he also questioned the wisdom in the government giving 3 crores to a sportsperson who wins a medal in contrast to the meager 3 lakhs given to soldiers and policemen who become targets to the bullets of terrorists while fighting for the nation.

File cases against corrupt politicians, convict them for the crime of betraying the nation and oust them from politics ! -  Mr. Mohan Gouda, Karnataka spokesperson, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Speaking on the state of affairs in the country today, Mr. Mohan Gouda said, “Today corruption has become an accepted norm in all areas of public life. Corrupt politicians have stacked away 70 lakh crore rupees in the Swiss bank. CWG scam, Adarsh housing society scam, 2G spectrum scam, ISRO S band scams are nothing but the tip of the iceberg of corruption. It is imperative that a law be enacted, under which corrupt politicians may be tried for being traitors and punished severely, including them being forced to quit politics.”

Miss Sphoorti Benakanavari representing Sanatan Sanstha addressed the audience describing how things have come to a stand while doing anything for Hindus or Hindutva is being looked upon as a crime. She urged all Hindus to live righteous lives, to follow Hindus culture and traditions, to undertake spiritual practice in order to derive the strength to face the assault of evil Anti-Hindu forces.

The meeting concluded with the unanimous passing of a number of resolutions to strengthen Hindus and righteousness.
