Awake and protest strongly against the government’s contemptuous act of demolishing Hindu temples in the state! - Mr. Mohan Gouda, Karnataka spokesperson, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Mr. Mohan Gouda, Karnataka spokesperson, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti expressed anguish at the current state of affairs in the country on all fronts. With regard to Hindus, he said that "The way in which the rulers of today seem hell-bent on destroying the nation as well as Hindus is making the general public wonder whether these are truly our own Indian kinsmen!" He spoke at length condemning the Karnataka government's order to demolish temples by labeling them as 'unauthorized'. He stressed how the authorities had been stopped from going ahead with this unlawful act of demolishing temples where people had come together and protested. Giving the example of the protest march held in Bangalore on 9th January 2011 he urged Hindus to face this danger unitedly and fearlessly through lawful means. This inspired the audience and consequently a large number of them stayed after the meeting to have informal discussions with the Samiti volunteers. He highlighted how the lack of religious pride among Hindus has left the Hindu temples, Hindu saints, Hindu deities, Hindu epics, in essence anything connected to Hinduism, vulnerable to attacks by all and sundry. It is high time that Hindus wake up and get prepared to emerge victorious by resisting all kinds of assaults, he urged.
