Cost of construction of the illegal wall should be recovered from the Trustees of Siddhivinayak Trust HJS

Mumbai: Mumbai High Court has ordered demolition of the wall constructed for security reasons around the Sree Siddhivinayak temple, as the construction is illegal. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded that the money spent by the Trust from the funds received from devotees for construction of such illegal wall, should be recovered from the Trustees’ pockets.

The Committee was formed headed by retd. Judge Tipnis for conducting enquiry into malpractices in utilization of temple’s funds. He had passed a remark in his report that the Trustees and Ministers are using the temple funds as if they own the money and are misusing the funds. HJS has therefore, demanded that the concerned should bear the cost of breaking the wall constructed illegally so that it becomes a deterrent for happening of such incidents in future and it will be a test of their moral values. A representation was given to Shri. Jagatap, the Chief Executive Officer of the Trust with the above demands.

HJS has been holding agitations for the past 27 Tuesdays to protest against the malpractices in utilization of funds, holding meetings in 7 star hotels etc. and the Government are wasting God’s money by spending it in this manner.
