Sangli (Maharashtra): Traffic Department had displayed boards at College Corner and Tilak Chowk to enlighten people with pictures denigrating Sri Ganesha. It was written on these boards that ‘Take care of your head. Everyone does not get another head like me.’ Sri Ganesha is shown holding a helmet in His hand.

Mr. Dattatreya Retharekar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) called up Traffic Police Inspector and pointed it out to him. He accepted the mistake over phone and arranged to remove the boards. (Congratulations to Mr. Dattatreya Retharekar, who tried to stop denigration of Deity by bringing it to the notice of the concerned and to the Traffic Police Inspector, who understood the subject and reacted positively! Such devout Hindus are required now ! – Editor SP)
