The Anti-Hindu newspaper, Times of India (TOI) had published an article titled ‘Incest: Haryana’s shameful social heritage’ in which it has denigrated Hindu Dharma by saying, “Hindu Dharma accepts immortal relationships like Incests !” In reality, Hindu Dharma never accepts such immortal relationships. Now it is duty of all Hindus to protest lawfully against anti-Hindu TOI so that it should never publish such Anti-Hindu articles in future and it should also apologise to all Hindus for hurting their religious sentiments.

There is no place for immorality in Hindu Dharma but anti-Hindu Times of India’ says, “Immoral relationships were accepted in Puranas !”

Mumbai: An article written by Sukhbir Sivach titled ‘Haryana’s Shameful Social Heritage’ has been published on the website of the English newspaper, Times Of India (TOI). ‘Khap Panchayati’ in Haryana, punish those who marry in the same ‘Gotra’ with death sentence. Even then, there are many Hindu families who have immoral relationships within the family like father with his daughter, brother with sister, father-in-law with his daughter-in-law etc; but ‘Khap Panchayat’ overlooks these matters; says the article. The writer says that such immoral relationships have been accepted by Hindu Dharma as shows the Scriptures. (Family system has the highest value in Hindu Dharma and there are certain rules to be observed to maintain morality in the society. Even then over-learned Sivach who is maligning Hindu Dharma and the TOI website giving publicity to the article are anti-Hindus. In this article titled ‘Incest in Mythology’, the so-called examples of immoral relationships have been listed. “It is told in Greek tragedy that King Oedipus had immoral relations with his mother. Even in ‘Puranas’, there are instances of close relatives having such immoral relations,” says the article. The examples given are in ‘Mahabharata’, Arjun, the son of Kunti marries Subhadra, the daughter of Vasudeva i.e. his maternal uncle. (Arjuna although a son of Pandu is gotten by Kunti from ‘Indradeva’ using her boon; therefore, he is the son of Indra in such case Subhadra cannot be considered as his cousin sister. The writer has given distorted information and tried to defame Hindu Dharma ! – Editor SP)

In this article, it has also been mentioned that ‘Yamadeva had relation with his sister Yami, King Manu with his sister Shraddha so also Prajapati with his sister Usha, Pushya and his sister Surya, Shukra and his 3 sisters, Satrajit and his 10 sisters and Nahush and his sister Veerja. It is mentioned that after Raja Purusukta’s death, his wife Narmada had a child with her brother. (Sivach must produce proofs about the Holy Scriptures from where he has taken this information. Nowadays the so-called researchers of Hindu Dharma get wrong meanings of the ‘Sanskrut’ shlokas and change the entire perspective. Lack of unity among Hindus is responsible for such disgraceful criticism of characters from ‘Puranas’, Deities and the Holy Scriptures.
