Dear Sir,
I totally agree that the true spirit of Diwali or any other festival is not to indulge in mindless things. I would like to suggest that the same be done for Ganeshutsav in which there is polution of all sorts including that of the ocean when murthi is immersed. The true celebration of Sanatan dharma would never include anything that harms anything!

Namaste,
I strongly believe that the divinity of Diwali and other Hindu festivals should be in its whole satvikata and shouldnt be indulged in mindless things.Being an HINDU one should atleast believe that "we should protect our own dieties and dont make them as a market trend". I would like to suggest that the same should be in the mind of all for Ganeshutsav in which there is polution of all sorts including that of the ocean when murthi is immersed and it is left as it even after many days, those murthies are not even immersed properly as they are found on the banks of the rivre as half broken. Try to follow sanatan dharma as they will guide you how to follow Hindu rituakls and festivals.

I am agree. I think instead of fire-cracking we can use that money in donating to social organisation.

Till such time as our great Hindutva proponent leaders such as Shri Bajpayee [going to the Jama Masjid for Namaz]and Shri L K Advani [statements such as Mr. Jinnah was a secular leader] continue to appease the muslims, we hindus are not going to see any improvements. Even the VHP & the RSS are going on the same lines nowadays. I do not see any hope for Hinduism.

It is also unfortunate that we hindus refrain from voting for one reason or another while the muslims vote en masse.

What is the solution?

Leaders such as Bal Thackray, who are at least honest in what statements they make publicly and stick to these statements, once made. These may appear to be rather harsh views.

I agree on the views regarding crackers. but let us not remain limited to Diwali on this issue. Use of crackers in any celebration viz. marriage, political rallies etc should be fought against.

Regarding the pictures printed on crackers unfortunately it is so bidees and tobacco packs too. Let the campaign be broader.

Though I very much appreciate HJS ideology and its untiring efforts to preserve Hinduism, I strongly disagree your branding of those bursting crackers on Deepavali as anti-social, anti-national and anti-religion.
By using all such adjectives for such innocent or ignorant mistake (of crossing the decibel level for one day in a year and marginally increasing pollution for one day in a year), you are equating the majority, largely innocent, people with die hard criminals and real anti-national forces.
Let us keep within the permitted decibel levels a but as Hindus, we must celebrate life. Otherwise, let us ban all vehicles and factories as they cause pollution too. Any takers?

(Ill-effects of bursting crackers have been mentioned in detail. There is no significance of crackers from the viewpoint of Nation and Dharma. In Pakistan, funds are collected from citizens to build up stock of ammunition so that any
time, they are fully prepared to fight with enemy. Nobody wastes
ammunition in Pakistan. It could be possible only due to the love the
citizens feel towards their nation and for their religion. Even if once
in a year, crackers are burst, effect of noise and air pollution
caused, would not be reduced. No patriot would like wasting of money on crackers when the country has liabilities to the tune of Rs. 6 lac
crores. - Editor)

Dear Sanatan friends,
Even the scientists & technologists have realised the severe bad effects of pollution created by vehicles & so there are cng vehicles coming, battery charged autos. Diwali is celebration definitely. But what is this celebration? It is the victory of Shri Ram , Shri Krishna against demon like Rawan, Narkasurs & Kansa. The same Ravana & Narkasur is in our hearts due to kali age affected media , bollywood, & other political parties. We have to destroy the forces of Moh, Kama, evil from our heart & enlighten the body temple by rekindling the Atma Jyot is which is covered by the ignorant forces of kaliyug. This cannot be done by bursting crackers.

I especially liked the appeal for no crackers (and the video to prove the point). Not only it is denigration of deities, it makes lives of children and elder people hell during the bursts. Other fact that misses out here is employment of children for manufacturing of crackers.

This needs to be made a movement.

I strongly oppose using of Gods and Goddess photos on the crackers. Although reducing the use of cracker will help in many ways. Instead of spending lakhs and lakhs of rupees on paper and burning them in just four days does not help our nation nor our nature. Instead the money can be contribute for a social cause or may be a get together in a grand manner. Since the person to person contact is also reducing so a gathering or a meet for four days and having some activity will help build up the society.

HJS should have signed petition to present to the fireworks to stop denegrating Hindu idols and suggest plain paper be used. They can continue to sell fireworks. Propose to the fireworks manufacturer that next year that they refrain from doing so, and give us a written guarantee. Lets look for a peaceful solution. Enjoy life and let families and children enjoy the fireworks.

I like your idea of removing pictures from fire crackers. But i have to suggest that the system doesnot ends here. To remove such evils we have to reform our hunduism by way to removing the evil of seudo secularism in them inculated by Congress Govt and other political parties. They don't try to get 82% hindu votes but try to get 10% muslims votes. Inculate the feeling of preached by God Krsihna, Chanakya, Sardar Patel, Subhash Chander Bose and many other revolutionary person rather than of Gandhi and Nehru who only provides us misfortune, poverty and shame to our religion. By way of their deeds, our is the only country in the world where instead of majority, minority dominates.

Yes, We have to celebrate Diwali festival - harmfree, pollution free and with devotion. We will not purchase Cracker which are having pictures of Hindu deities and also have loud voice. We will perform pooja " Say Laxmi Pujan" and also give Donation to Hindu Organisation and for Poor & distressed people of our Society.

Please create website or Link through which we can show our protest against attack on Hinduism and which is directly received by Our PM, President & Chief Justice Of India. We can also send our protest note to Human Right Commission for timely solution.

Kudos to HJS website for informing un-informed Hindus as to how to celebrate their Hindu festivals in order to receive maximum God principal from their respective dieties.

Namaskar,

I have seen all the letters to the Fire Crackers Manufacturer and various emails to them also along with various comments from responsible Citizens.

I personally feel that this is very serious matter and we need to make sure that in coming Deepawali the mal practise of having pictures of Our Bhagwan and Bhagwatis is not printed on the crackers.

I would like to know if any response we have receved fromt he firecracker manufacturer or not.
And i am also interested in being part of this movement.
Please let me know and also let me know what another thigs we need to follow in order to stop this malpractise before coming deepawali.

Yes it is very very wrong.
I remember in chieldhood, I many times felt it wrong to break the crackers having god images. But as all people were doing the same thing, i use to convince myself that 'god is not in the image only.... like that'. But now i can imagine what are the dangerous effects of such things on faith in hindu dharma.
Main thing is that when u worship a god how can u distroy his image?
We hindu's r some what hypocratic. So such things happen about us. Not in other religeon it can happen.
