Lord Ganesha is the lord of the intellect. All Hindus respect Lord Ganesha and worship Him before worshipping any other deity. . By styling hair as shown in the picture here, faith of people in Hinduism does not grow; instead it affects the society adversely. Deities are not 'Objects' to be tampered with. Individuals and the society must learn to respect deities and practice spirituality to attain bliss from them.
