Panaji (Goa): Goa Education Board has finally taken a decision to withdraw History text book set by NCERT for tenth standard as it had lot of mistakes and as there was distortion of history.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): With regular follow up by the HJS and Hindu protagonists the Ghatkopar police imposed a fine of 1200 to 2500 rupees on those selling fire crackers with pictures of deities Lakshmi and Krushna.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): After strong protest from HJS and 'Sanatan Prabhat' an apology has been tendered by Maharashtra Times in today's (16 Aug 07) edition in the same column called 'Hasa Leko' for denigration.

An agitation was staged by the parents against the school authorities of St. Francis Xavier’s Higher Secondary School of Arts, Science and Commerce at Siolim, Bardez, Goa for the efforts for conversion. Due to this agitation, the principal of the school Father A. Paul Sagayam tendered an apology letter to the agitators.

The agitation launched by the HJS against the ABN Amro bank for launching a credit card with M.F. Hussain's painting on it finally met with success when the chief official of the bank for the Asian sector, Jim Brown declared from their Hong Kong head office that this card would be scrapped and replaced by a new one.
