Mumbai : The famous ‘Kala Ghoda’ festival has started in Mumbai from Saturday. In this festival, pictures of ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu drawn by an artist named Ajanta Sen in denigrated manner were on exhibit.

Mumbai : It was announced by management of Westin Hotel from Gurgaon, near New Delhi that the proposed exhibition of paintings by anti-Hindu painter Husain has since been cancelled. Devout Hindus had opposed holding such exhibition.

Mumbai : Foreign based ‘A C Moore Arts and Craft’ store used to sell denigrating pictures of Lord Vishnu. The sale has, however, been stopped recently after guidance by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

A Hindu youth named Rohitkumar Tripathi was wearing a ‘Cross’. Miss Shraddha Kanase of HJS observed this and she explained the subject to him; after which he removed the ‘Cross’ and said that he would never wear it again.

‘Third Eye Asian Film Festival’ has been organised at Shahu Smarak. M.F. Husain’s film, ‘Homage - Through The Eyes Of The Painter’ was going to be screened on Tuesday, 27th December, at the Festival. But due to strong opposition by pro-Hindus the organisers had to cancel it.

Mumbai : ‘Mahesh Arts’ a famous company from Shivkashi in Tamil Nadu manufactures stationery. The company has now manufactured colouring books for small children. There is denigration of Deities like Shri Ganesha, Krushna and Hanuman in these books. Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts sent a protest letter to the company for such denigration

A program was organized on behalf of ‘James Retreat Centre’ run by Christians, between 14th and 16th October at Lavhala village. The program, however, had to be wound up on the first day itself due to the direct action taken by pro-Hindu activists.

Tuljapur (Maharashtra): A person was selling ‘Cross’, usually worn by Christians, in the premises of Sri Bhavanidevi Temple during Navaratri festival. An activist of HJS observed it and stopped such sale.
