Mumbai: The Bill for so-called eradication of superstitions but in fact, aimed at attacking Hindu Dharma, has been finally canceled by Maharashtra Govt. after four years. The bill was opposed by BJP, Shiv Sena and Pro-Hindu organisations like HJS and Sanatan Sanstha.

In a stinging rebuff to Penguin Publishers, the National Book Critics Circle did not award Wendy Doniger's book the non-fiction award. It is rumored that the publishers lobbied heavily to get the award for this book and this did not go down well with the judges.

Pune (Maharashtra): On the day of ‘Dhuli-vandan’ , a drive undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to protect the water reservoir at Khadakvasla was carried out successfully with the cooperation of police, administration and local residents.

Pune (Maharashtra): The members of ‘Ranaragini’ staged demonstrations against vulgar movie 'Jogwa' in front of ‘City Pride’ theatre at 3.30 PM and in front of 'Prabhat' theatre at 5.30 P.M.

Tuljapur (Maharashtra): After an appeal made by HJS and other Pro-Hindus organizations, traders gave encouraging response by removing picture of Goddess Bhavani on the packets and bags used for giving Prasad, as these packets and bags go in garbage.

'Scrapu.com' stopped denigration of Lord Krushna and Arjun through a picture, after protest by HJS members and devout Hindus.

HJS makes the dentist remove the tiles of Deities fitted in his clinic so as to prevent the patients from spitting there. The dentist also had such tiles fitted near the place where his patients would keep the footwear.

HJS presented a proposal to 'Krantinagar Ganeshotsava Mandal' for celebrating the festival in an ideal manner. The proposal was welcomed by the Committee and it was unanimously decided to celebrate the Ganesh Festival in an ideal manner.
