Mumbai (Maharashtra): The management of Siddhivinayak temple constructed security wall on the advice of Intelligence Department considering the likely danger to the temple. But is the Dept. happy with the wall constructed by the Trustees?, the High Court has asked the Govt.

Mumbai: State Govt. bends down in front of devotee and at last decided to lift ban on garlands and coconuts in Siddhivinayak temple.

The Israelis have apparently told Indian authorities that terrorists may use garlands and coconuts in their attacks on Hindu shrines.

Shri. R. R. Patil, the State Home Minister informed through a written answer in the Assembly session that tight security has been provided around the Siddhivinayak temple at Prabhadevi in Mumbai.

Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) were holding peaceful demonstrations against the Government's proposed Act to take over management of temples and religious institutions. At that time Shri. Subhash Mayekar, President of the Sree Siddhivinayak Trust intimidated the demonstrators.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded that the money spent by the Trust from the funds received from devotees for construction of the illegal wall, should be recovered from the Trustees' pockets. Recently Mumbai High Court has ordered demolition of the wall constructed for security reasons around the Sree Siddhivinayak temple, as the construction is illegal

Shri. Hanumantrao Jagatap, the newly elected Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sri Siddhivinayak Temple Trust assured delegation of Hindu Jana- jagruti Samiti (HJS) that suggestions made by HJS would be given due consideration and the defects in the administrative procedures, if brought to the notice of the Trust, would also be rectified
