Appeal to readers, well-wishers and Hindu protagonists

The last date for expressing public opinion regarding 'The Maharashtra Black Magic and Superstitions Bill of 2005' is 30th August 2007. Devotees, readers, well-wishers and Hindu protagonists send a letters against this anti-faith bill, with two xerox copies to Shri B. N. Kamble, Room no.901, 9th floor, Vidhan Bhavan, Nariman Point, Mumbai  400 021.

Hindu protagonists should send as many letters as possible and fulfill their religious duties is what Shri Ramesh Shinde, the Maharashtra State Spokesperson for the HJS appealed.

Every pious Hindu will have to pay the price in future if they allow the 'The Maharashtra Black Magic and Superstitions Bill of 2005' to become an act. As the HJS opposed it vehemently it was referred to the Joint Scrutiny Committee of the Legislature and the public opinion of Maharashtra was sought.

One may cover up the following points in the letter.

  1. Explanation of terminology of all words in the bill is not present.
  2. The bill will be enforced on people of all religions in the state ie Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains and Hindus.
  3. Since the existing laws are sufficient there is absolutely no necessity for creating a new law.
  4. A secular government should refrain from framing such black laws which attack religion.
  5. A clause in the bill should confirm that this law will not target any particular religious custom or culture.
  6. This law should be framed after seeking the advice of all religious leaders and saints.
  7. This bill needs to be scrapped because it will ban holy texts singing the glory of divinity.
  8. Every human being is free to win the grace of God through spiritual practice or worship. This law will prevent that, hence it should be scrapped.
  9. This law can ban herbal home remedies or the science of Ayurveda. Every individual is free to chose the modality of his treatment. So this law will interfere with personal freedom and should not be enforced by the Maharashtra government.
  10. If this law is enforced it should include a clause that it holds good if conversion is carried out using miracles as a bait.
