The National Flag is the symbol of the Nation's respect and pride. There is liberal use of the National Flag on Independence Day and Republic day. There is new trend of selling flags made of paper and plastic. This practice is wrong. With sense of national pride, people enthusiastically purchase flags but the very next day, we find these flags fallen on the road, in dust bin and elsewhere. While doing this people forget that they are insulting the national flag. Often these flags are burnt along with garbage. It is the duty of every individual to maintain the proper respect of the National Flag. From this point of view obey the following measures.

  • Hoist National Flag on a height in proper manner.
  • Do not let small children use National Flag as toys.
  • Do not use or purchase the plastic flag.
  • As the paper flags get spoilt, do not buy paper flags to put on the pocket.
  • Take care to see that the National Flag is not crumpled.
  • Do not use the National Flag as small flag, banner or as decoration.
  • Take care to see that the National Flag is not trampled or torn.
  • Do not let the National Flag to fall on the ground.
  • Do not join cloth pieces to resemble the National Flag.
