Subject: YOUR SUPPORT TO THE INFAMOUS PAINTER HUSSAIN

Sir,

I refer to your support of the infamous painter Hussain who has been painting vulgar pictures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses and Bharat Mata, hurting the feelings of one billion Hindus the world over; no doubt you are not one of them.

If I may ask you if you would like to have similar paintings made of your wife, mother or sister?

It would appear that you are doing this for keeping your job  under the i pressure of the present Government Of India.  In U.P. there is a saying that ARRE PAIT TO KUTTE BHI BHAR LETE HEIN, i.e. even the dogs fill up their belly and you have to stoop so low for earning your livelihood.  Perhaps each one of us has a duty to ourselves, our pride, our family and our religion and not to encourage those who hurt the feelings of so many, especially that you are sitting at the UN seat, you have an international duty and not to tow the line of the GOI.
