Sub: Protest to cancel life time achievement award to M.F. Husain.

This refers to news appeared in Khaleej Times Dubai that Bhoruka Charitable Trust ,Rajasthan India is initiating feliciation of M.F.Husain at Dubai.Trust is planning to give him life time achievement award on 15th March 2008 at Jumeira Hotel Dubai. This event is organised by Shri.Ashok Agarwal, Secretary of Bhoruka Charitable Trust.

As you are aware M.F. Husain has drawn nude and obscene paintings of Hindu Deities and Bharatmata. Thus he has hurted religious and National sentiments of crores of Hindus and Indians. More than 1,250 police complaints have been lodged against him and lot of court cases are going on against him throughout India. He has been accused of outraging relious sentiments, promoting enemity between different religious groups, selling obscene material and disturbing National integrity, thereby committing offences under several sections of the Indian Penal Code. He has also been accused of committing offenses under section 2 of the prevention of Insults to National Honour Act on account of certain paintings of

Hindu Deities and naked Bharatmata. At this stage you are glorifying an accused person by give him life time achievement award and hurting our religious and National sentiments. Your action of glorifying M.F.Husain for your Noble cause i.e.trust trying to involve in educational charity work and nurturing Indian art among children is not justified as Noble cause cannot be fulfilled at the cost of National honour. No proud Indian and Hindu will tolerate your support to antiHindu and antiNational painter M.F.Husain.

For your information we had protested and were successful to cancell Rupdhar award 2006 which was supposed to begiven by Bombay Art Society on their centanary celebration at the hands of Hon.Governer of Maharashtra Shri.S.M.Krishna to M.F.Husain. For further details of protests and successful campaigns (e.g.cancellation of ABN Amro Bank's credit card with husain's painting , cancellation of auction of Husain's painting by NGO Khushi costing 6 crore rupees in Mumbai, removing Husain's painting from Tao Art Gallery etc.) against M.F.Husain, please visit website www.hindujagruti.org .

In view of aforesaid you are requested not to give him life time achievement award on 15th March 2008 at Jumeira Hotel Dubai failing which we along with other patriotic and proHindutva groups will have to start strong protest-campaign against you.
