Mumbai - The United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Cable news Network (CNN) and the British Broad Casting Channel (BBC) have published Maps of India with Kashmir broken down into pieces and the pieces merged into Pakistan and China, a startling revelation made by Hindu Janjagruti Samiti in a press conference.
Senior War News Specialist and Ex-editor of Daily Tarun Bharat Shri. Milind Gadgil, Dr. Durgesh Samant, National Spokes-person of HJS and Shri. Ramesh Shinde of HJS addressed the press conferece. They said "Indian government should have taken suo-moto action against CIA, CNN and BBC. Government must contact US and UK governments asking clarification and withdrawal of incorrect India maps. If it very sad that public are forced to start campaigning in such vital issue involving national pride."
Several world-famous Universities including Texas University and major websites like yahoo.com hold this distorted Map of India presented by CIA as standard. This is a serious matter, which is demeaning to India at an international level. All these Maps are legally wrong, as they are not in conformance with the Map Published by the Government of India. The United Nations has clearly stated on its Website that the Jammu and Kashmir Borders have yet to be decided between India and Pakistan.
Being the largest Democracy, It is imperative that Government of India clearly explains to the people of India, its stand in this matter. Hindu Janjagruti Samiti has appealed that the Indian Government should seek an apology from the BBC, CIA and CNN for causing harm to India's international image and force them to immediately withdraw the Maps from their websites.
A Description of Erroneous Maps
The CIA is the prime intelligence agency of US Government and its prime function is to obtain information about other Nations, analyse the information and present the analysis before US Government. The CNN is United States prime Cable News Network and the BBC is the British counter part of the CNN.

At the above URL, an Indian Map has been shown in which the left part of North Kashmir has been shown as merged with Pakistan. Similarly, the Right part of North Kashmir (Aksai Chin) has been shown in a different color shade as a part of China and it has been labeled as a disputed area with "an Indian Claim". In fact legally, the area belongs to India.

At the above URL, CNN has displayed an Indian Map with North Kashmir shown merged with Pakistan and Aksai Chin merged with China respectively. In addition the whole of Kashmir has been shown to be disputed! What is going on?

At the above URL, BBC has displayed an Indian Map, which shows North Kashmir merged with Pakistan, and labeled as "Pakistani Kashmir". It also shows Aksai Chin to be officially a part of China, as if all the lines were international borders.

On the other hand, the Government of India, on its Official Website above, has shown the entire land of Jammu and Kashmir to be a part of India.
