Opinion:
1. The issue of distorted map of J & K by organizations like CIA, CNN and BBC really needs to be taken up with Govt. of India, Ministry of Ext Affairs on priority basis. Unfortunately not many in this ministry are seriously concerned with this major/serious controversial issue as it has neither full fledged minister to raise this issue at appropriate level with CIA, CNN & BBC.
2. Unfortunately CIA,CNN and BBC- all are publicizing distorted versions of maps of J & K for quite sometime on their websites in which POK has been shown as integral part of Pakistan and J & K shown as disputed territory. This needs to be condemned by Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India publicly and these three organizations asked to tender unconditional apologies too for their willful acts of favouring Pakistan’s stand/ views.
3. As the present Govt. at the centre is not likely to give this issue any importance, I strongly recommend that we raise this issue in Lok Sabha through our MPs so that it gets due attention/importance.
4. I and soldiers like me fully appreciate the efforts you have put in this regard and hope many will join in our efforts you to condemn the acts of CIA,CNN as also BBC and that we succeed in getting the map of India appropriately displayed on the websites of these agencies
